This has some context to it, can't be bothered explaining though.
I'm interested in what people think about the dangers of DH riding/racing vs the usual young male dangerous activities of alcohol/drugs/driving too fast, etc.
I think there's definitely a case for serious injury being a...
Jimmy did it for me, so I thought it should be a real quality build. It's dinged real bad but it buckled terribly too, so maybe he was having an off day?
Does anyone know if there are any SPD shoes that have the cleat holes further back than normal, so your foot position gets more like it is on flat pedals? I can corner so much more balanced on flats because I'm further forward on the pedals, but I prefer clips for the pedalling and control...
Pretty self explanatory, what's the lowest non direct mount stem you can get? Needs to fit oversized bars, so no Funn SMX, what else is there?
cheers:thumb:
I reckon it's not necessarily better but sometimes you need to run harder suspension when you get faster. I used to run a 300lb shock spring and soft boxxer spring, but now I can't nearly get away with springs that soft, they just bottom everywhere. I'm a massive hack but I feel like my bike...
Those mag codes were hands down the ****test brakes I have ever owned. I had to bleed mine EVERY ride. Even then the lever throw would just randomly change halfway through a run.
$300?
The bearings in SPD pedals seem to be pretty much indestructible and they sure as hell don't cost $300. I came off a pretty big log ride and fell into a creek (along with my bike) and the peal bearings were pretty much the only ones still working and they are still going strong to this...
Formula rotors are a bit thicker so you'll have less pad clearance. On the upside if everything is aligned properly you should still be able to get it rub free and you will have less lever throw.
BOS has had this for ever. :thumb: Definitely makes a noticeable difference on the BOS, especially in the parking lot. Durability should be good if they are similar to the BOS ones.
The tools probably make it easier but I've put them in with a vice and sockets... worked fine.
This speed/position sensitive thing with rebound damping has always confused me. Say you squash over the lip of a jump, your shock will rebound very fast because there is nothing for the spring to actually push up, then if you compress your shock to the same amount, into a g-out or something...
I've got the ST01 I think, which is one under the ST04 compression wise (as you would guess... 1 is just before 4:think:). My frame is ~2.73:1 and it's definitely too light. I can feel the LSC if I crank it fully, but only just. HSC is the same deal. The problem is the Izimu is in between the 01...
This is going a bit off topic, but anyway...
Going on what your magical calculation says my bike has a very stiff rear relative to the front. I can run a medium fork spring but it feels pretty firm, and the soft doesn't feel too soft either. With the 350 spring my bike feels kind of balanced...
