    Dual crown Endurbru fork

Made by Suntour so yeah, not the best. Has something called Gravilube external lubrication.....Rux all over the place. However, 35mm stanchions so charger damper conversion might not be out of the question.

    Dual crown Endurbru fork

Keeping with the Germanic theme, I've been thinking about Bionicon lately. Their 160 DC is teasingly close chassis-wise. http://evo.bionicon.com/en/bionicon-system/ But it seems they are phasing it out with the move to 650b, the new bikes have an adapted Metric fork.

    Dual crown Endurbru fork

So, there we go. Hideous! Aside from the looks, the weight including the bars is bang on. I don't see any advantage of the clip-on bar style having used them on sports bikes other than adjusting the sweep. Would rather have a direct mount stem.

    Dual crown Endurbru fork

Ok, so a fork that's as stiff as the current 36 but better in the ways that have been mentioned.

    Dual crown Endurbru fork

Same crown/steerer as the 36, same weak point as all the other 160mm forks that develop creaks due to flex. Adjustable reach would be a bonus too with a 56mm or 1.5" headtube and 1"1/8th steerer. People are different sizes, finding the right bike is a nightmare. Turner is getting there with...

It's on the internet, must be true.

    Dual crown Endurbru fork

Good to see people paying attention as usual, CP's bike is too out there for most but the point is he's made a Fox 40 that weighs less than 5lb! That Specialized fork is the closest example of what I'm thinking of. A DC fox 34/36 with either rc2 or fit4 damper that came in around 4lb would be...

    Dual crown Endurbru fork

So now we all have creaky tapered steerers and frames that aren't long enough, isn't it time we went back to the short travel dual crown idea from a few years ago? To me it makes a lot of sense if the weight and stiffness of the current 36 could be met or improved. 1.1/8th" steerer would...

    26\27.5 adaptor

That's for 15 and 20mm hubs, most hubs are convertible these days so adaptors on the fork are pretty unnecessary IMO. Obviously a 650b fork will take a 26" wheel so if you're still bi-curious you could still use just one fork.

Problems with Works Components Customer Service

Works is literally one guy running the company and his dad running the machines. There was a PB article on them not so long ago.

    Droop travel and you

What happens when you dive into a steep chute on the brakes and the weight shift causes the little shock to extend? Doesn't sound like a desirable situation to me.

Anyone running $178 chinese carbon rims for DH yet? light-bicycle.com

I used regular 25mm yellow tape, with wtb vigilante tyres it was the least painful tubeless install I've ever fitted. I even tried without sealant on a bare rim and it held pressure for a day or so.

Does anyone make an angled headset with EC44 bottom cup for tapered steerer?

Is this not it? http://www.workscomponents.co.uk/20-degree-ec44---ec44---angle-headset-89-p.asp The lower cup doesn't need to be offset, just angled to match the offset upper cup.

2014 Fox 40 Float Negative Spring Options

sounds like you need to lower the pressure and if it's using too much travel add high speed compression.

    Arai

You've had a Kali then you know what poor finish is like, I've had two avatars and they're built like **** but the shell tech makes them extremely good at absorbing impacts. The shell is one of the more compliant on the market, hold it in your hand and feel how much it flexes! Having a crash and...

Nobody's going to comment on this, seriously?

There were plenty of comments on vital/pb. I'm a long-time CB hater so I can't see it being a good thing.

KS lev taint spanker. Mine worked flawlessly and then it didn't

I'm finding they are very sensitive to the length of the inner cable. Make sure it's at 15mm like the guy measures in the service video. The grapple hook can be reversed so it sits behind the barrel too.
