What is everyone digging for grips? I use to really dig most lock on grips, but many are going to single clamp design. For our tight trails any grips with soft rubber on the end of the grip mean that scraping trees become instant OTB when that sticky rubber catches.
QBP had a few pairs of each front and rear as of last weekend. They didn’t have the new rotors nor does TRP direct, but the old rotors supposedly work pretty good. Went 203mm for the enduro bike. Also bought the TRP adapters and bleed kit from TRP direct.
I have ridden the Codes on some big days in Pisgah and they performed pretty well. Hell even the Level's on my fatbike work pretty dam well. Seems like Sram has turned it around with these new brakes?
I am still running the last generation Shimano 2 piston with 203 rotors on my enduro bike. They work pretty darn well, but under gunned for longer and steeper stuff. I miss my old 2010 Saint 810's!
What is the good word for Enduro and DH brakes for 2020?
What has caught my eye:

Anyone here able to tell an on trail difference between double down and DH casing? I know the DD is 120tpi, vs 60tpi for the DH. Weight is like 50-75 grams different. Some of the DH tires are kevlar bead now, so for a rowdy enduro bike, any reason to run DH over DD?
cheers!

The pinkbike article makes it seem like cool new offering. These guys really liked the way the fork felt but they did experience some sanction wear:

From the looks of it Tanrip9 on mtbr got the wrekoning early and the Jeffsy as well. Someone beat him up and take his bikes because I want both of them.

So who wants to make a guess about what the YT Jeffsy will be, my guess is a 29/27.5+ bike very similar to the new Santa Cruz Hightower.

Looks good to me, thoughts?
Also, I wonder who is making this for them...
The 2014 Fury is an excellent bike. I owned one for the entire 2014 season. Everything from east coast stuff to Whistler. The super long toptube gives you a ton of confidence in the steep stuff. If you can get one for 50% off go for it!
My only complaint is the leverage curve is pretty linear...
Currently riding a stumpjumper 29 evo as my trail bike. I have been getting into more burlier riding this year and I am looking for something that will take a little more abuse. I plan on doing a mix of riding on it from "enduro" rides with long fire road climbs and steep descents to more mellow...

I am the owner of a 2014 gt expert that is part of the recall. GT did pull through and just sent my dealer a new set of stans flow ex hoops laced to there 3.30hd hubs.
Looks like all the furys will be 650B only. This if from the 2015 GT dealer catalog, looks like a solid bike other than the Jalco wheels. Zee drive train and brakes, and the new coil boxxer and a 4k mrsp.
I have a 2 week trip planned to ride the west with one other buddy. I have family in CO and friends in WA. The trip will be a mix of dh and trail riding. I will be shipping out both my GT Fury and Stumpjumper 29. I plan on spending a week in CO riding mostly dh and then heading up to WA, riding...
