I'm desperatly trying to find somewhere I can jump my bike in the ibaraki/tokyo/chiba area.
All the people I see on BMX's are just doing tricks in carparks and the bike shops dont know anywhere I can go jumping.
Im sure no-one here is from Japan, but just on the offchance I thought I would...
Ive ended up moving the seat up quite high, cos Im using the bike for transport now as much as I use it for fun.
I dont really do tricks on it, just a few jumps - also since I had surgery on my leg my knee dosnt bend so much and the low seat was killing me.
Im not blaming the bike as i have seen people manual road bikes.
I know the blame is all mine cos Ive only been riding a BMX for a few days now and Im sure these things will come with practise.
dont worry I am practising - infact Im going out in about 2 minutes.
I cant manual yet cos my bike weighs a ton, but Im improving on the bunny hops.
I know what you mean about pads, I wanted to try a few things last night but ended up not having the balls because all I saw was cold hard concrete.

I bought that bike mainly as an alternative to a urban style MTB, transport but also very strong.
I think if I get into BMXs alot then I shall also buy a 20inch.
One thing I love about BMXs is the price. the MTB I wanted to buy cost about 6 times as much as the Haro.
BMX are total bargains.

it is really really heavy though.
well its heavy compared to my aluminium MTB that I had.
I dont know how easily I will be able to jump it but I guess the weight means it will take a good beating before I break it.

ive just got rid of my mtb and ordered a 24 inch BMX, so Im looking forward to having some fun and actualy riding a bike rather than worrying about my gears, suspension etc.
