From an outsider looking in
1 - Its a shame trails need to be shut down. Sometimes there are good reasons
2 - Why not look to areas that have successful trail building and maintenance for an example of how groups need to be designed and run. Having a FR group, xc/am group split instead of...
That would actually work in whistler. There is Base wireless that has full wireless coverage in the area. That would be a relatively easy thing to set up. Interesting idea, I am friends with one of the marketting people and the IT people, I will pass the suggestion along. Can't promise anything...
Ya, it was like that last year to. But I agree with the height, really seperate that riders who should win and shouldn't. While tricking is a big part of slopestyle, amplitute needs to count for something too, otherwise djers would rule the game completely.
Don't forget kill me thrill, classic whistler xc. In reality, CN was put there to loop kill me thrill me back to the village, so you could do kill me thrill me to CN to lost lake trails (zappa btw) It would be a long haul from the pits of hell, but it would be an adventure.
Maybe thats why the second run scored so high. I didn't think the second run was worth 32. It wasn't close to what boyko did with this "bad" course. Maybe self correcting scoring :)
I don't think it was bender sized. It was big, but I figured the pros would have been able to handle it. Especially with the extra dirt, I was surprised to see so much added to it.
As for strait, dude that was you, I heard that crap and was just laughing, did you happen to see the camera man...

What an awesome competition. Quite happy with it this year and no controversy. Boyko won and deservedly so. He tricked off every hump he could find almost making the rest of the riders look average.
Big congrats to two local...
to be honest my information comes from research in the early 90's when I was bodybuilding. Bodybuilders believed it was adding pure muscle to their system (which in cycles, it was doing) but it was also partially due to recovery. No I can't cite the research but I do know from some experience in...
Or have the players and drugs gotten better?...
To be honest I don't disagree, early to mid 90's and later 80s were chalked full of really freaky bodybuilders with pads. It has gotten better, but I still don't believe they are completely clean.
Not disagreeing, just a difference of...
It doesn't, really, it allows your muscles to recover faster thereby allowing you to work out longer with shorter downtime. Therefore, taking the drug after 200km helps your muscle recover to the point where you have an unfair advantage the next day.
I think you are looking at the wrong side of the plate. Riders/players/athletes, while they may do it for the money, do it for the glory also. If they stop doping they become normal and the fans get bored. Go back and watch hockey or football from pre 70's. Everyone is a step slower, quite a bit...
For the 2 hosted parties right?...food and booze is only served friday and saturday for ds and slopestyle...at least that what my vip package said. See ya there haha :D
