LOL, it came from here: http://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=126469

I guess the dw-link flipping was incorrect, he switched it back to stock after the person he bought the frame from had the link on backwards...
Yeah, he posted pics on pb and it states that it took 10 hours of shaving and turning the dw-link backwards to get it to work. Better to just use the xfusion HLR air.
that's good info there with pics. having to pull the shock to make rebound adjustments would be crappy in my mind. I guess it's a small price to pay once getting it set up and saving ~1lb of weight over a coil shock might sway my position.
I know it's blasphemy however has anyone tried the x-fusion HLR air on this bike? It should fit. I did see someone who shaved away a bit of the frame to fit the vivid air but don't want to do that as this may fit without any work.
Thanks for chiming in Allen, can anyone else confirm that it IS supposed to spin as I've had 2 people chime in saying theirs spin as well. More than likely it's okay.
Just swapped a spring on my vivid r2c for my 08 sunday wc. After the swap, I just noticed the lower outboard gigantic hex bolts where the lower pinch bolt passes through, is now spinning when compressing the suspension. This can't be correct, or is it? Perhaps I just never noticed it. Any...
Mine stated "A" on the box and am unsure about on the shock where to look. Sorry.
Correct spring rate and then shock collar, correct. Make sure your'e in attack position and not sitting when measuring the sag. Do the fork the same way. The SRAM site has the proper fork sag how to on their...
vivid: Do you have the A-tune as it is "lighter" than the B tune. Settings wise assuming your sag is correct, one must make sure the low speed compression (blue) knob is fully on fast to absorb the small stuff. If you don't, it'll feel like crap (it's relative though) so don't run any low...
It's dependent on the bottom bracket you use. If you have the bottom bracket, it'll have a stamp on it saying 83mm or 73mm, etc. If it's only the crank arms, you're good to go and just buy the correct bottom bracket size.
From what my mechanic friend said who does this regularly, it's just replacing the shim stacks inside. I can't tell you if it's easy as I've never done one and wouldn't feel comfortable doing it without someone with experience helping me out. You can download the technical manual for the vivid...
I"ve got one on my 08 sunday with the proper vivid linkage so no mods necessary for the r2c. I'm 175lbs 180 geared up and am running a 300lb spring with it. I have the lighter A-tune version and the lsc still seems a bit stiff for small bump sensitivity. I think I might need to mod it and...
