Loss of vacuum... in the cylinders? That could mean your oil pressure is inconsistent, which would explain the strangeness during acceleration.
Maybe next time you're driving it try to take your foot off the accelerator really quickly while you're in the higher rpms, because that creates...

Maybe check to see if the oil level is too high in your fork. Or even better, just put a lighter weight oil in there so that the damper can react more to the chattery stuff.
The derailleur-in-a-box thing is so disappointing, unless they're still developing the gearbox concept and they only threw the derailleur in it so that Minnar would have a functioning bike to race with.
Whatever you get, make sure it uses DDR3 ram so that it doesn't get stuck in the past. A fast hard drive (7200 rpm) would help for saving/accessing large files quicker. A decent processor is necessary too, it doesn't have to be the i7 or i5 but any dual core that's not a centrino would...
Make sure you have the latest Broadcom driver available, they make the chipset for that AT&T thingy.
You might need to go into your hardware manager (in the control panel) and see which specific chipset that thing has. Or just google the model number of it, like "at&t [MODEL#] chipset" and go...
That happened to some kid here last year, I don't think he got his hand back. There was a huge fireworks show that got cancelled so he tried lighting the mortars himself.

Did you try connecting to a different wireless network recently? Maybe re-enter your username and password. That might seem obvious but it fixed my connection when i was only able to connect to the router and not the internet.
edit: I forgot you said you can't connect when hard wired...
Man.... funny you mention that safety thing. I showed up at sunset a few weeks ago and had a pretty tough time getting that main line down. The first jump that you have to absorb so as to not overclear it and totally **** up the next one or 2 jumps is really annoying. I cased the next jumps...
