Backflips on bikes that were designed to be backflipped are "cool". Backflips on bikes that were designed to stay glued to the ground are at least mildly mind-blowing. And it wasn't even some huge run in to a big kicker. He did it out of a little skatepark bowl like it was nothing.
Really interesting looking linkage. Just finished clicking through the slideshow on vitalmtb. Apparently the suspension curve is almost identical to the old gambler but this design centralizes the weight and makes the bike better for square edged hits (due to the higher pivot).

Most colleges' academic year is September to May. most lift served DH parks operate May to October (on the east coast, at least). Making your college choice based on 2 months of the DH season seems a bit iffy to me. Then again, what do I know, I'm just some schmuck.
