Portland People - help me out. My life just got taken.

I'll keep an eye out. I run a shop in Longview, if I see someone with one of them I can hang onto it as a stolen bike. PM me your contact info and serial numbers and I can try to help as much as possible.

Spank Spike pedal - Ti axle option?

Yep, Mike has been awesome to work with for our shop and myself as well! I can't say enough good stuff about Spank. Great products and support.

Spank Spike pedal - Ti axle option?

They are available. They are in the states. I have a set sitting on my workbench now. We have a pretty awesome relationship with our Spank supplier who has helped us in getting some, however... When they were brought out, it was said that they would likely be a consumer direct option.

Why Can't Anyone Service My RS Blackbox Rear Shock ?

Service it yourself. I did the one for my DHi myself although it's not the "black box". There's a link in the thread below with all the info you need. You also don't need anything more than a basketball pump needle to pump it to pressure...

Iron Horse 6 point setup tips, anyone?

This is correct. They were all 8.75x2.5 although if I recall correctly the MTBR threads were showing that DW said that on the 6point the pedaling characteristics were nearly unchanged by short shocking it. I do think that when I short-shocked mine the geometry was spot on and it was because of...

Iron Horse 6 point setup tips, anyone?

csermonet you asked about what I used to bore the seat tube. I ordered up this guy right here Go slow, use lots of cutting oil, and then finish it off with a cylinder hone to ensure there are no additional burs inside.

Iron Horse 6 point setup tips, anyone?

With all of the long-travel air-sprung forks out, lighter carbon 83mm cranks and wide-range cassettes there shouldn't be any problem hitting the 30lb mark. I know when I first built mine up I have 1100g tires, 2x9 gearing, steel coils front and rear, dropper post, and 600g pedals, and those...

Iron Horse 6 point setup tips, anyone?

I went with WTB Laserdisc hubs, Aerolite spokes and Laserdisc FR rims. The wheelset was I think 1880g, which for a 150mm wheel isnt bad especially considering I raced them for 3 years prior to running them on the 6 point. I *think* bike came out at 33lbs with a coil Lyric, Reverb, and Gravity...

Iron Horse 6 point setup tips, anyone?

8.5x2.5 rear, modified xtr crank, bored the seat-tube from 30.0 to 30.9... Seriously fun bike that can be had for cheap. I really enjoy older IH's. My main bikes are mach 5.7/Mach 6 but for spare bikes I just finished boring a MK3 to 30.9, dropped in a -2* headset and a new RP23 Adaptive...

Any Turner Burner 27.5 Owners Out There?

I feel like it's a mix of both. My 2013 34 Talas feels good for the first 5 to 10 compressions. After that I'm back to a stiff as hell front end. I like my forks to be stiff on my trail bike, but this is getting ridiculous. I keep dropping pressure from the air chamber on every ride and end up...

Any Turner Burner 27.5 Owners Out There?

I was just looking for replacement options for my 2013 34 Talas. I hate it. The Avalanche cartridge would probably help a lot on the damping side of things, although it wouldn't do anything to fix the pita TALAS system.

    Labyrinth Minotaur

My understanding is that it's a pretty a-MAZE-ing frame. I actually have no useful info to provide. I just really wanted to make a labyrinth joke.

Keep running Minion DHF's or try something new?

Wet roots is what we have 80% of the year. I've been tempted to try their other tires but the Projekts just looked the best to me. Are you running Der Baron's front and rear?

Keep running Minion DHF's or try something new?

I'm running the Kaiser Projekt's now and love them. I actually just gave my nearly new set of DHF/Highroller to a co-worker today. The Kaiser Projekt's are easy to trust, roll well enough and have a nice casing. If they last anywhere near as long as the TrailKings on my trail bike they'll be...

    The new Katipo proto

I suppose it's time to provide a little feedback on the Katipo V2 that I had Scott build for me. For those of you that aren't into reading I'll summarize by saying that the Katipo V2 is EXACTLY as the doctor ordered and about as perfect as a downhill bike can get in ride quality. For a...

    2011 Fox 40 not compatible with Zee M640/Saint M820?

I ended up pulling one of the adapters off my old Juicy brakes on my dirt jumper that allowed the caliper to sit further down and got it sorted. Thanks for the help guys, I was beginning to get frustrated after the major 3 brake manufacturers adapters didn't work.

    2011 Fox 40 not compatible with Zee M640/Saint M820?

I don't recall the part number off hand but I've given the Hayes, Avid and Shimano 160mm adapters a try and each one the caliper bolt made contact with the mount before the caliper was able to seat.

    2011 Fox 40 not compatible with Zee M640/Saint M820?

The adapter is right side up with the cut out for pads on the inside. I also tried a Hayes and Shimano and had no luck there either.

    2011 Fox 40 not compatible with Zee M640/Saint M820?

Has anyone run into issues with mounting the new M820 Saint or Zee calipers on the 2011 Fit RC2 forks? Fox was running that 51mm IS mount that took a 160mm adapter to work on a 200mm rotor in 2011. The issue that I have with the Saint/Zee caliper is that the new calipers now use 2 very large...
