i think he has swayed towards the curtis :clapping:
i think the thing that swayed him was the fact the curtis can actually customise your frame as each one is build individually by hand so adjustments can be made
my mate is stuck on which frame to get for his dirt jump/ trail build
he is stuck between the Curtis Trailboss (which is doubt you lot would of heard of)
http://www.curtisbikes.co.uk/trailboss.html
and a 24 Bicycles Moon frame
(dont have a link for the frame)
which one should he go...
this is really annoying my now lol what the hell could it be ?
ive ruled out the GI since the GI has a slighty slanted downtube compared with the pictured bike with one that seems to run straight from the top tube parallel .. ive found some bike that semi-match up but not completly match up...
can anyone tell me what frame this bike has .. it looks like an atomlab general issue to me .. apart from the rear drop out
if its not a GI what is it.. maybe what year ?

not sure ... havent counted the teeth
it has a 16T on the rear and the overall gearing feels perfect
id say it feels like a middle chainring front and 4or5 cassette ring rear on a 21 (3x7) geared bike
love the dmr's ... get some :brows: ... im used to knobbly mtb tyres so these were a bit different .. they dont like gravel much but they do feel very smooth on road and roll very well due to the low rolling resistence
as for the chainstay length its 16.9" (430mm) which is quite long as id...
thats certainly some height :clapping:
im off to build some more dirt jumps up the road from me 2moz .. once there done il get some pics up of it flying :)
looks purple'ish in the pics, they dont really do it justice
got my felt jump shot a couple of days ago :) its a sweet bike, super light and is very flickable; dispite the long chainstays...
run down of the specs:
15.5" matt grey frame
dirt jam comp forks (soon to be white marzocchi dirt jumper 1's)
soft compound honda grips
controltech...
decided not to go for the norco as its a 24" rim (dont like 24")
so im going to get the felt jump shot for £200 (around $400 ?)
setup of it is pretty good, Halo combat rims, dirtjam forks (changing to dirt jumper 1's), hydrolic brakes etc etc so i think its at a good price
not too botherd...
right then after some serious searching i have found one of two bikes i am going to buy :) one of them might be a felt jump shot weighing in at 14kg
http://www.feltracing.com/06/06_shot/jump_shot/geo.html
the other might be a Norco One25
the geo on the felt looks good apart from the chain...
yeh i nailed it down to 2. i havent done that by geo since i dont no whats good and whats bad for a DJ'er i just ride the dam thing :greedy: but i kinda want to get the geo right for my next bike.
ive mainly narrowed it down by price and by who the manufacturer is (so it will actually be a half...
to be honest .. i have realised that i have to spend a little extra for that somehting special
now i have norrwed it down to 2 frames.
1) DMR Trailstar
2) Kona Scab
now .. these are both 2 well known manufacturers for their products and i know that they both do dirt jump/ trail bikes...
nooo the name is 'Brand-X' the actualy name of the frame is Brand-X Dirt Jump Frame MK III from http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=12528
finding it hard to find many geo specs for the da bomb .. not even any on their website
the main problem is most of the frames ive...
ah right .. well heres a picture of it anyway .. http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc313/blatajosh/12528.jpg .. its no particular brand (named brand-x) but its had very good reviews. the reason i was going to choose it was because of the good reviews and because i can buy decent parts (brakes...
right then, without telling you what the frame is yet, would these geometry specs be good for dirt jumping?
