No...IMO, it's the nature of the game...as a DHer in the woods during a race you're focused on your line...if your eyes are wondering around you're going to crash if there's a flash or not. You could always post a sign..photo ahead..but that would make you loose concentration of the task at...
..and hate 1 minute run intervals...I swear the seeding runs took 3.5 hours if not 4. Holy smokes I'm cooked.

make sure you don't have a bent chainring/spider. Your top pulley should slide laterally a few mm.
I run mine WITHOUT the bashguard (just pully and 42t ring)..and have dropped the chain only 4 times....2 of those cause I bent the spider on my saint cranks (doesn't help that your chainring lands...
