Same O/D but much shallower and there is no lip to seat on the top of the casting, the new boxers run this seal so I'm assuming the seal seat is different on the lowers of the new boxxer.
.... its not chrome its nickel plating, has a lot more pores than ano and holds more oil in the coating making it more slick... fox had there top guys on it before kashima

drill or hammer time... i used the drill when the local ditributor was out of team/wc lowers... try to hammer it out first and if that dosent work drilling slow with a sharp bit you can catch and it should pop it out.
