Geared up, ~225lbs or ~100kgs, I run a 500# spring on the fat-shaft (snicker) RC4 (non-kashima). It works juuuuust fine for me. I would be very curious to comparatively test the new stuff to see if the difference in displacement and new design make for a significantly different feel.
^QBP discontinued that line after someone shot the sheriff, but not the deputy. They felt that this message in a bottle was a safe bet and that the buyers would understand that if they looked around it's actually not that hard to replace through a different distributor. But, to be safe, they...
That's actually a fair bet on all points. It would be nice if MSRP was a little less ridiculous (looking at you Specialized) so that customers could more reasonably assess that they could expect to spend, as MAP pricing seems to be a grey area these days.
Ok Monkeys, I have a query I am hoping those of you who work in shops (or know the pricing indexes well) can help me establish an answer for. Today, I went into my LBS to get the pricing on a Thomson Elite Dropper Post (found online for $350-$450). The owner and I go way back, so he likes to...

I forgot I had a Silverado in my tool box (that i've had for years), and I tried it out, realizing that has been the ticket. XC rides are now so much better for so many reasons. So, I spent $0 and fix an issue - win/win. Though, I am putting away my pocket change for one of those Prologo...
There are a lottt of pros using the system - Hill won Meribel on the system for instance. Not a case of "not wanting" the tech - it's just crazy new and not a ton of people have access to it/wanted to figure it out mid season. A strong portion of the Schwalbe pro riders (directly supported...
Can't tell if you're making a joke, but in the name of correct reporting, http://abc13.com/news/two-teachers-arrested-over-threesome-with-student/333435/ , they are women.
With that said, if the reversal you jested about were the case, this would be a much, much, much bigger issue in the eyes...
Dave,
I feel like the Rocket might be a little on the narrow-side, as the Silverado saddle (WTB as well) is a little more supportive. I am looking in the Prologos you and Sti suggested, as they look really nice. The Nago seems to be right about what I'm looking for at this point.
Da Peach - I think you're right about the "V" models. Might have to look at the other options.
StiHacka - that option looks like a really nice one. I'll check that out as well.
HTH - the Cromag looks like a good option as well.
I've constantly had issues where the stitching blows out at all of the different junctions. It's really annoying, because my whole seat just comes apart within like one ride of a small seam issue. But, I suppose I can't expect more from a $30 seat (shop cost) - so this is me trying to stop my...
I've been riding (sitting) on WTB Rocket V saddles for most of my riding career.
However, they are lacking durability and never last more than half a summer (under ideal conditions).
So I am hear to ask around as tactfully as possible, what are people's favorite seats, how do they compare to...
I had forgotten what it was called (I have used a similar off-brand style) - and I had velcro on the brain, so it didn't come to mind. And I appreciate the offer! I think I'll just buy some, gotta prep the race machine for this coming weekend.
