I'm still running a little machined down bolt with a nut on the underside because I had my lever fall apart one day. It's worked for about a year so I don't see myself fixing it until I get new brakes.
No they aren't made anymore. But if you can find a 6 point that would be a much cheaper option to getting into the am bike crowd. Especially since you said you aren't sure if you will like it. You can probably find a 6 point complete for the price of a new frame.

Pictures? I had my rotor bolts break out of a ringle SOS rear hub on my demo once. They didn't pull out but rather broke the hub apart. I sourced some longer rotor bolts and still use the hub on my p1 with a 6 inch rotor.
If I had to buy new pedals every time I ripped a pin out I would have to buy 30 sets of pedals a year... Thats why pins are replaceable. And I find that with these super thin pedals I dont hit my pedals nearly as often. I dont know what 40 dollar bricks you are using but Im absolutly conviced...

Im sure the ultimates are an improvement over the og crampons. But I far prefer the look of the og crampons. Mine have been rock solid. Other than a really bent spindle on a horrible crash they have been bomb proof.
Couldnt agree more! Hills run was sick. His lines at the bottom were nuts. Inside line into the right handed coming into the open was hairball. Only guy to take that line. Wish he could have kept his feet on might have been top 5.
