In biking-related news, I went on a training ride with DC Velo today. A lot of pretty hard-core people there. The pace of the group was about 4-5mph faster than I'm used to riding so it was pretty quick. I managed to keep up with the group for about the first 25 miles (of a 50 mile ride)...

Yeah - he came on the trip because he was friends with some of the other guys from the Lightweight Crew Team. Hahaha... No, not his shoe. It was one of those audio tour things that they give you at touristy places. This one was at the Roman ruins.

So I'm back from the bike trip in France. We had beautiful weather almost the entire week. The only exception was on Friday when there was a ridiculous head-wind the entire day. So much so that even on decently steep downhills you had to pedal to even keep moving. Other than that it was a...

I've been doing a bit of road riding lately. It's been tough since moving down to DC, however, since I don't know the routes around as well. It seems that there are a lot of good routes that start outside of the city but not having a car makes this difficult. I am however, leaving this...

So to change the subject back to biking, momentarily (*gasp*): I had my first real crash on my roadbike yesterday. Fortunately I'm unharmed with the exception of scrapes on elbows, kneeds, and a nice cut on my thumb, which I think hit my front gears when I went over. It happened right...

So I've been driving a Mini Cooper (non-S) around a good amount this summer. It's quite a fun drive. Even the non-S has decent pickup, it handles really well and actually has a lot more room inside then it initially seems. Plus it gets lots of points for the "cool" factor.

Yeah...I had the same impression. He seemed like a nice guy, but he mumbled a lot and even when I could understand the words he was saying I didn't really understand what he was saying. It basically seemed that he had very very minimal control over the class. It was basically run by the three...

Ah yes...AM107. 'Twas an interesting class.... I did like the fact that it didn't have a real final, though. But as you complained about, some of those problem sets were a little crazy.

Mac mini. iPod Shuffle. iWorks. iLife '05. Anyone have thoughts? I like the Mac mini. It really is tiny. :thumb: Excited for the next iPhoto because it incorporates some stuff I've been wanting anyway. A bit confused about the iPod shuffle. I mean, it's really cool and all, but no...
