    Silicone grease should work. I think brake caliper grease and dielectric grease are also silicone based.

    jvp, I bought the BRS-70 and it has a larger spinner handle to close the clamp, but it probably has the same quality stand. I am very impressed with the quality, especially since its collapsable.

    I have the Specialized Taho MTB shoes and they are very comfortable. I am using the Candy C's.

    I just received a new Ultimate consumer stand so I put my bike on it to see how well it holds. Takes several seconds to screw down spinner, but stand and clamp mount see to be very strong.

    Cable grease for Shimano XT components

    Shimano recommends their particular brand of grease for cables. I don't believe my components came with any so I am wondering if anyone knows what type of grease is acceptable to use or should I check with my LBS and purchase the Shimano brand? Thanks,
