While you guys were arguing about wheel sizes, Caterham made pure awesome available starting in 2014.
Who knew that the Girvin linkage fork was F1 techonology!

Ever since I through a leg over the prototype Prime a few years back, I thought that this thing has got to be as fast as my DH bike. It rolls over stuff like a monster truck, flies great, it's light, amazing cornering grip, blah blah blah. So 2 years later I finally get to 7 springs, fired up...
"The NY Daily News reports that Kathy LeMond testified under oath during a 2006 deposition in the SCA arbitration case that Julian Devries, a mechanic for Armstrongs team, had told her and others that Nike and Thom Weisel the San Francisco banker who sponsored and part-owned Armstrongs team -...
So I was thinking about the latest air shocks for the DH crowd, and the trade off that we often have to make between a lively, poppy bike and a ground hugging, stable race machine.
I had an idea that might make it possible to achieve a lively and uber-sensitive, high traction suspension setup...
So it seems multi-stage "Enduro" racing is really kicking off. Folks are saying it better represents how we all ride our bikes, and it's more fun - equal parts social and ripping down trails, and a lot more time on the bike. I personally haven't raced one yet, but we are holding one locally in...
I landed a copy of "From the Inside Out" BR for Christmas, even though I didn't ask for it. This the new one from 2ndBase, which I guess is a combination of the Coastal Crew (like their web edits) and Anthill (aka Collective). I can't really keep up with the names...
Lots of stuff to like...
Figured since most guys are into girls that ride, here is a link:
Interview: Rae Gandolf, Pro Downhiller « Ohio Downhill
She's so fast they needed Rob Warner to commentate for her engagement.
Thought the Mud Hunnies would appreciate this:

I just bought an Urge down-o-matic and it's a bit tight in the front and rear. I just read in another helmet review that helmets can mold to your head over time. I'd never heard that before, anyone experience this?
I will probably send it back but a bit bummed because they don't make a larger...
Mr. Shimano, you have great might, skill, and power. Please make one of these. It should be a cinch. It could be part of your PRO line.
If you don't, maybe Mr. SRAM will.
Anyone else notice how many Schwalbes on the pros bikes now?
Have a gander...

(And all running directionally the wrong way according to Kidwoo!)
Blenki and Cam Cole are one Hutchinson Bulldogs the best I can gather...
OK, so this won't apply to many monkeys, but if you do happen to have the great luck to reside in the vicinity of the outdoor mecca that is Ohio, you might want to check this out. We've been working hard on some new DH trails at Vulture's Knob and we'll be doing a few races there this year...
The first WC is only 2 months away, I'm starting to get amped. Great variety of tracks this year, no doubt loads of drama to unfold!

Anyone know or know someone who has analyzed the most effective type of gusset for strengthening the headtube junctions?
i.e. which is better, this type:
or this type:
This would be for a steel dh bike. I have my own opinions, but would like to hear others...
We celebrated three family birthdays yesterday, so my mom made this.
That line is steep as **** and super gnar on a BMX bike.
PS - Bonus points if you can guess what the twinkies are. Hint: They were for my nephew, who is 11 years old.
There is a new bike company just for internet riders! I know this has been discussed ad nauseam, but only in jest. Until now:

Seriously, words cannot describe what's going through my brain right now.
Wondering if some of you boffins out there can help me put together a lightweight race spec with products made in the USA? We will obviously have to cut a few corners, but would like to maximize locally made components.
Made in Canada will work in a pinch, since they are our hat after all...
"The origin of the legend of the Bluegrass Eagle has been lost in the passage of time. Possessing supernatural powers, it could transform its plumage into an impenetrable carapace. Its spirit, noble and free, has inspired our range of protective gear."
It gets better, go to...
Right, I'm usually answer more questions than I ask, but after watching Santa Cruz's APP videos and reading some of their marketing speak, I've got a question.
They've designed their APP bikes (Nickel, Butcher) to mimic the VPP shock curves, which start off falling rate and then go rising...
