Nice build! I've built a lot of wheels off of Tune King/Kong MK hubs and they're bar-none my favorite on the market right now. The only thing I'd change would be to offer them with aluminum freehub bodies - Tune insist on shipping them only with Ti ones and it drives the price up :(
Hey guys!
I haven't posted here in ages, but I've got an offer that I think is relevant - I'm working for Leopard Cycles (www.leopardcycles.com), and last year we came out with a 26" carbon hardtail MTB. I've been tasked with recruiting some XC racers to sponsor, so towards that end I'll be...
I'm going to be lacing up a pair of the new Stans ZTR Crest rims to a pair of Tune hubs in a couple weeks using their new lefty hub. My last bike had DT Revolutions, but this time around I'm thinking of using Sapim CX-Rays.
I actually raced XC for the UCSB team this year, but as I'm graduating, I won't be around in the fall. All in all, the UCSB mountain team are a great bunch of guys, the conference is fun, and I'm sure you'll have a great time. As far as getting a bike goes, I would ride what you've got until...

In my experience collegiate road racing is a much bigger affair than collegiate mountain, so be prepared for the inevitable afterbirth of the decision to race collegiate (buying a road bike). I wound up doing that and having no complaints, love my De Rosa.
looking good, the new decals are very blah though. The originals had this very clever, euro-modern look that went well with the bike. These plus the 08 marzocchi graphics make me puke a little bit in my mouth.
I like how everyone is arguing about patents even though this isnt an industry board and are thus completely irrelevant.
PS can these be had with the old-school Karpiel decals? those looked much better.
nooooo that bike was a celebrity on the forum :(.
on the bright side though, BTI just started distributing Commencals, so if you know anyone who works at pretty much any bike shop ever, you can brown nose your way to a Supreme DH for pennies on the dollar.
