    I believe that although coiled, springs act like diving boards. Shorten them and it's like rolling the wheel up, they get springier.

    I wear one all the time and have crashed a bunch of times wearing it but never once has it saved my ass. What I have noticed though is that it has never affected my ability to tuck and roll which is a pleasant surprise.

    I'm 6'2"(188 cm) I usually like large frames, my 010 frame is a large. I was able to parking lot test a medium for size and I found the medium and large felt very close size wise. At your height I don't think a large would be excessively huge for you especially if you're lanky. I have the works...
