Congratulations Josh! My boy is 2 years old now. It is a lot of fun and a lot of lost sleep.
I sneak my rides in before work. The boss doesn't mind if I get in a little late. Glad I'm self-employed.
The suspension is pretty dialed and the new 2.0T pulls hard. Consider the Performance Package if you can find one so equipped. The LSD makes it very desirable. And the APR tune...I need to stop thinking about this car before I do something I shouldn't.
Drive the GTI and you will forget all about the Sportwagen.
I have had 8 VWs with sunroofs and none of them leaked. The drains can clog and back up over time if you don't clean them out.
I took a new one with DSG on an extended test drive. I couldn't get used to the transmission, but I would go with the manual anyway. Look up the APR flash if you need some additional motivation. Is the Performance Pack with LSD available yet?
It took me a couple months to get it out of my head...
My favorite part of my Costa Rica trip was the zipline tour in Monteverde. It is a must if you go down there. It's a little sketchy and a lot awesome. Definitely not something that you would find in litigious USA.

That is not cool. Worst case: take it to RR Velo in Watsonville to get it repaired.
The old VP Free is still alive, but the rider doesn't exercise it regularly.
Oh to have an S4 as a "third car"
My third car is a 2001 Passat with 180k on it. Actually it shares second car status with my supercharged 1994 Suburban, depending on the task at hand.
Sorry to hear that your shoulder is giving you trouble already.
Did you ride the new trail in Pogonip yet? I hit it for the first time today. Very nice!
