I just bought a Jamis Quest. Never having ridden a road bike before, it's been an interesting experience.
Stiff. Light. Fun.
I rode the Jamis AL frames and wasn't really comfortable. I ended up on the Quest because I liked the way steel felt. I'm also 200lbs. You might try a Jamis...
Ok...I haven't posted here in a long time. But I bought a new Jamis Quest on Sunday! I was really stoked. Until my second ride yesterday...when I flatted my rear tire.
It sounds like these tires may just suck. :sigh: Nothing better than having to spend money to replace brand new gear.
:stupid:
I broke mine awhile back (jr high). I walked around with it all swollen up for two or three days before I went to the Dr.
You should get it checked out. You may have fractured one of the smaller bones. Or you make just have a contusion. In any case, get it looked at.
I love the Chipotle sauce. I go through a bottle every two weeks now.
I liked the recipes, btw.
Chipotle Baked Beans:
1 can of baked beans
Chipotle sauce to taste
Genius!! Sheer freaking genius!
Meat marinade:
1 cup red wine
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tbs worsticher...
:stosh:  :eviltongu :oink: :blah: :nono: :nopity:   :dancing:  :monkey: :dead:
If there is no actual smiling, is it still a smiley?
Now THAT is a great idea! Why stop at wolves--we need Puma's too! And maybe a couple of grizzley's.
You want to take care of the homeless problem?
Large predators...there's a solution I can get behind.
I've got 'em. They're ok--careful with the clamps tho--I've busted mine a couple of times. Several monkies have also busted the plastic lever bodies.
Good luck!
I love mine. I'm in between spring weights, so I've got max preload on the spring. About 130 psi in the chamber, max volume.
Rebound is set 1/2 out. High speed compression is almost minimum, and low speed compression about 1/2 through its range.
BE CAREFUL WITH THE COMPRESSION ADJUSTERS...
Riiiiiiiiiiiight. That would be a great idea...except that it's not covered under warranty. I got a great deal when I bought it--and the seller made it very clear that there WAS NO WARRANTY.
Oh well...
I've got an '02 AC Air Lite w/ am '01 rear end (long story). I'd like to upgrade to the stiffer '02 rear end and the increased travel '03 Rocker Arms. I talked to my dealer and the whole package runs almost $400...Ouch!
Is there a difference between the '01 and the '02 seatstays--can I...
My AC Air Something Or Other is my all purpose bike. I think it's close to 34-35 lbs, with the 5th Element I added, it doesn't feel too bad! I'm also 200lbs, so...
If you need something with wide spaced knobs, Conti makes a Vertical Pro (I think) in 2.3 thats a great front tire.
Panaracer also makes the Fire XC Pro in a UST design that is good.
