Hey, had a tricked out STP since about 2005 that finally got boosted from behind my house. It was my "everything but DH" bike, including xc, dj, street and park, and I loved the versatility. Great "one bike" but I suspect I was giving up some agility and jumping prowess for good trail manners...
I have also had issues when rebuilding boxxer forks of air getting trapped in the damper or lowers. Makes things feel very strange and is corrected by compressing and burping the fork. Not sure this is your issue, but something to watch out for.
To be honest, I've had really good luck with SRAM customer service. Their suspension products tend to be high maintenance and they have engineering issues which can be very annoying, but you can't say they don't stand behind their equipment. They have sent me my share of free (and usually...
It's some sleazy ****, and there may be a lemon law in your state that would allow you to return the vehicle... But buyer beware man. It's always a good idea to have a third party inspection before you buy a car if you're not comfortable doing it yourself. Spending the 100 bucks up front could...
Just get a full sized revolver in 357.
If you ever actually need to hunt deer (I'm picturing a SHTF scenario here) you can keep some heavy duty loads and maybe a small scope. For home defense, slap some 38 special hollowpoints in there for the missus and you have a fairly idiot proof weapon.
Our local Giant has started carrying a pretty good selection of Indian items. The Naan is not quite restaurant grade but pretty decent.
In terms of sauce, I usually prefer the pastes that need to be mixed with yogurt, and I'll spice them up with lemon juice, chilis, and honey to taste...
Agree, I've been on the 10 and the 101 in LA and it's not out of the ordinary to see 4 lanes of cars doing 90 mph with 15-20 ft of spacing (so they won't immediately get cut off by the dude in the Lancer Evo with the flat brimmed hat). When something goes bad, it goes bad quick. I've...
I have yakima king cobras on my bimmer. It handles twisty mountain roads with a dh bike just fine. May sway a bit, but it's not going anywhere. Also nice cause it locks.
From tuning motorcycles, it's likely that you're just a bit lean in the midrange with the new pipe and need to adjust your fuel map. Backpressure is not necessary for torque unless the engine is tuned for backpressure. Why give away top end power when you could get both torque and hp?
Edit...
Interesting idea with the turbine though. If all you are doing is charging batteries with the gas engine, you have totally different engine requirements and a turbine might be more appropriate than a reciprocating piston design.
You can always operate it in its peak efficiency range and...
Not much of a commute since I usually work from home, but the drive from DC out to snowshoe in my e46 325xi is one of the all time great canyon runs. At least 100 miles of 2 lane road, most with great sight lines, 55mph speed limits, and no cops.
