I dont think its the bike thats the problem, there seems to be some sort of bad organisation or culture in the Specialized camp. The top riders will be fast on any bike even complete **** boxes. Nicco being prime example the Sunn Radical was a pig of a bike. Its no coincidence that both Hill and...
well did get the sarcasm but there is times when I think peaty should call it a day and then the next race he pulls it out of the bag. Im sure im not the only one who sometimes thinks he should quit while hes ahead. Comparing Gwinn and Peaty as far as retiring due to crap results isnt a fair...
Well if i was Peaty and i could still hang around in the top 20 of the world cup and have a laugh doing what I love doing then why the hell not. There is many riders starting out who still wish they could be as fast as him and there half his age. So while sometimes I think watching the world...
thats more like it lads, we need more speculation. Sure what else can we do in the off season and it beats talking about shaving grams off our bikes and spending money on stuff we dont really need
any part that moves and is therefore dynamic weight will make a noticeable performance difference. So wheels, cranks, pedals and shoes will all be noticeable. However if your ditching weight and sacrificing for me its not worth the trade off but that will depend on how heavy you are. The ti...
its a shame, crc just announced that Mike Jones has joined them for next year along with Jacy to spanner for Hill. Sidmonds apears to have gone to greener pastures. http://www.chainreactionhub.com/mtb/1206-mike-jones-joins-team-crc-nukeproof-for-2014
who else is on the move for 2014
I tried popping in an all travel spacer and it seemed to work ok until i rode it a little and the fork would pack down. The air was leaking from the positive to negative chamber as a result. I was having trouble getting to lift the front end of the bike up tried different bar heights etc and...
unfortunatly you have to change the whole solo air internals, its a bit of a pain in the ass as its quite expensive for the parts. Very easy to do but it really pissed me off having to shell out another €200 for a new air spring assembly for my new bike just to drop the travel 10mm.
they're ment to be impossible to flat but I was wondering how true that was. If they live up to there reputation having one in the back could be a big advantage for me especially when racing. Nothing feels like burning money like a race ruined by a puncture.
Cheers for the heads up on the...
So myself and my riding buddies have being getting sick of killing the current selection of tubeless all mountain tires. I dont want to put my almost new tubeless tires in the bin just because of a small hole that sealant wont fix and I'm back to running regular tubes in the rear. That leaves me...
if you've no 6" front adapters hanging round that work, you can use a rear 180mm one and flip it upside down. Its a bit ugly and means that your caliper is sitting closer to 3 oclock than 12 on the if that makes sense to you (it does in my head). That solution might get you out on your bike...
Ive been on the Nukeproof Protons for about 2 years and found them great, so i reckon that any of the HTs are worth going with. I have bent a few axles on them but generall from using them to remove large stumps/rocks from the ground at high speed. Id rather bend an axle than my cranks. There...
They have a little, but not a huge amount about l lbs off my older one but I had coil lyrics on it and this one has solo air ones. Biggest change is much more room in the cockpit and the new Monarch Plus and the Monarch on the TR Model are vastly improved. The build as it is there is 31.1lbs for...
I've had the sombrio high tops for about 6 months or more, so far holding up pretty good, and prefare them to the 5 10 impacts as there a lot lighter especially when wet, they dont seem to act like a sponge like the 5 10s either. Grip wise there up there with the 5 10 freeriders that they...
even with the specialist tool it can be difficult to get part #5 out. As you pedal its constantly being tightened. Ive had the special tool disintegrate while trying to remove part #5. So have had to just leave that bearing and replace the rest.
only a matter of time before we see a few more interesting knock offs. Some of the big factories in Taiwan are outsourcing there work to cheaper factories in china. Theres nothing the Chinese love to do more than copying other peoples ideas. Well other than making more Chinese
