The new Iron Horse DH bike
I have been looking for some photos of the new Iron horse downhill bike that the madcatz team is riding but can find nothing at all
It is probably to do with my rubbishness at looking though so does anyone out there have any pics of it? The more detailed the better.

Thanks dude
Is the shock mounted on the lower of the 2 linkage plates as well as the top?
Or am I being a bit stupid and it is mounted on the main frame.

I like how they put the bottom shock mount inside a big bearing (for less wear on the mount). Looks like it might have a pretty low COG considering it places the shock vertical.

Damn that looks nice ... is that a VPP style suspension?
I may just have to retire my '00 G-Spot.
Do you have any specs (i.e weight, cost, when availible, etc)?

I am fairly sure they will be the DH bike in the 05 iron horse line up.
It is something I will definatly consider, especially if IH keep their low prices on full bikes next year, the SGS bikes are really good deals just now

It is a sort of VPP, in that it will have a virtual pivot point, but it is not the vpp used by SC and Intense

Thats sort of why I posted it here, I know a couple of the guys from IH post on here.
It will be intresting to hear what they have to say about it and why they chose to move away from the FSR linkage.

So whats the difference to this design in comparison with the VPP from SC and Intense?

Rear axle path will be different. That's what the SC and Intense VPP bikes have patented. As long as this is a different axle path then it's all good.

It's only similar to VPP in that it uses a solid rear end pivoting on two linkage plates.
Karpiel, Canfield, DW-link, VPP... They're all completely different suspension designs, but they all look very similar. Think about how many possible axle paths the two linkage plates would allow you to have. And, of course, those different paths will allow a lot of different suspension characteristics.
I imagine once DW has his patent(s), we won't be able to shut him up about it - not that it's a bad thing!

Well, for one thing, the SC/Intense VPP linkages pivot in opposing directions.
