RP23 Potential Problem???

I have a 2011 Yeti 575 with a Fox RP23 rear shock. I was getting it ready to ride this week, checked the air pressure in the rear shock and noticed a small amount of oil coming out of the air stem. Is this something I should be worried about? Any help would be be appreciated.

Mine does that once in a blue moon, so did my buddy's bike which was just an ASR.

I think its normal but I also have an IQ that can be best measured in single digits.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking that it was ok since my air pressure was ok and no other leaks anywhere. Try not to be so hard on yourself about your IQ, your profile says your from Oz, thats gotta count for something!

The air can should contain a small amount of lubricant (Fox float oil) and that moves freely about in there.

So, your "leak" is probably fine.

However it is wise to pump the shock with the air valve as the highest point so a minimum of float oil escapes while adjusting pressure.

Make sure the valve is screwed all the way in. Otherwise the spring won't close the valve all the way.

Thanks for the replies. I believe the problem has been solved, any thoughts on replacing the seals? I recently replaced my fork seals, but didn't know the interval in changing the rear shock seals.
