National Champs at SolVista Bike Park
Hey everybody, I wanted to start a common thread here for info on the national championships. I'll try and check back regularly to answer questions, but know this -
-SolVista Bike Park is the host venue for the race.
-Bigfoot Productions (think Mountain States Cup) is the promoter.
-Go to www.solvistanationals.com for questions about the race.
-Go to www.bikesolvista.com for general bike park info.
-Twitter links here - http://twitter.com/bikesolvista and http://twitter.com/granbyranch
We'll keep the twitter sites and bikesolvista site updated with pics and info on tracks as we get them online and ready to ride. The USAC folks are here today for a site visit, so stuff should be getting finalized pronto. Please forward/copy this link for the xc peeps too!
For those of you making travel plans, we have decided to open the bike park on Tuesday and Wednesday (for four hours in the afternoon each day) so everyone can come early and have some fun before practice officially begins. Stay tuned to www.bikesolvista.com for exact hours, but think noon-to-four-ish.
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all in a month.

Nice man, can't wait! If this moisture we've been getting keeps up the tracks are gonna be SWEET.

RV Parking
Does anyone know if we can park an R.V. on site? If so, any details?
We're traveling from PA and would hate to have to rent a car to get back and forth from the closest official RV Park. Staying on site would solve that problem.

Will there be freeriding open outside of the practice times on Thursday - Saturday? Need bang for the buck riding since it's a 20 hour drive.

There will be limited RV parking at the venue for a fee I believe. Contact www.solvistanationals.com for res info and rates.
Regular bike park trails will be open unless they are being used for competition or practice. Riders with scheduled practice times will have lift boarding priority over "freeriders" and regular park customers.

Any idea what course will be used for non-pros? It'd be nice to put in a little extra practice time on that course during the next few weeks.

We've been thinking a lot about what courses/features to use for the Cat 1, 2, 3 course, and we've decided we like parts of Cougar, Drifter, BucNasty and Cheeze It and it's offshoots, Tron? and Ashy Larry. Then we realized how good it was racing Silky and Moga's mile has some of the best corners on the track. Loosie is rarely ridden, so it would be good to have in the track as well.

Quick message for you RV guys!
I talked with Sarah at Bigfoot Productions yesterday and here's the scoop: she is taking reservations for on-site RV camping with NO HOOKUPS. She has the schematic and space allotment down, and it's a first-come, first-serve sort of deal. Money for RV parking will be collected at the venue once you're in your spot, not sure who is collecting SolVista or Bigfoot but that's how it was explained to me. Sarah can contacted via email sarah@racemsc.com or phone at (720) 407-6142.
Carry on.

It's not gonna end with three laps around the pump track?

after the pump track you have to go to the Oskar Blues RV and slam a Dales Pale Ale. Then you'd truly be National Champion.
