They were slowly grinding down, but it was the union going on strike that finally shut them down. The CEO even told them that going on strike would be the nail in the coffin and that it would force liquidation. Great job guys... Go on strike because you are taking an 8% pay cut. Lose your job because the company went out of business.

The strike really only accelerated it. making the concessions would have only delayed the inevitable.

They have a factory in seattle. I used to live near it and once rode my bike past, while super hung over. The overwhelming stench of sugar, when hungover sucks. It felt like the sugar was getting into my pores...

I heard this on the news on the way into work this morning. It's upsetting to think that the next generation may never know what a Twinkie is.
The guy I carpool with is from Sudan and has never had a Twinkie or a hoho. What an empty and sad life.
