Thanks!
Make sure you have a white base for fluo colors and do thin layers at a time.
When I started spraying my rims more and more it became less and less fluorescent and closer to being just a bright yellow.
In indoor lighting they look plain yellow actually, out in the sun they turn fluorescent. It's odd...

did you paint those yourself? if so, nice work.
I laid down a nice thick coat of white primer first. I really thought they would pop. I'm willing to bet that you're right about the heaviness of the layers though, I have a tendency to lacquer spray paint on and then I get drips. Maybe I'll try again this winter.

Yep did em myself.
In retrospect, the only thing i would done diff is lightly sand the existing white powdercoat/clearcoat on the rims. I was just scared to do it cause the Spank/Spike decals are under the clearcoat and wanted to save em. As for spraying till i drips, that's actually the recommended method. I went super light and about 10" from the rims, but it does make the texture more grainy...
Also make sure you let your parts cure for about 3 weeks before fiddling with them. THAT was the hardest part =D
Matt, just saw a red Imp come on ebay yesturdey

Yea I just stumbled upon that earlier today. Too bad it has a pretty crappy parts spec and I would much rather find a frame to build up.

This is a thread about people that have Imp's and love them and people that had them and miss them and wish they had never sold them.
When will we learn
