Medivac on final approach
I was on lunch hanging out at the Bear Creek staging area when they showed up. Hiker with a busted knee was out all nigh and had just been found.snapped this pic of Calstar out of Concord landing

At least it wasn't cold last night.
Maybe I'm just used to cheap cameras, but I am impressed that you captured the rotor blades in action.

Nice pic! Is that the helicopter that has the tail rotor in the tail? So it's not exposed

there is no tail rotor. It uses vectored exhaust instead of a rotor, much safer for ground personnel

It never ceases to amaze me how hikers get hurt with those walking poles and all that gear they carry for a 2 hour "outing".
