Really? Pretty much all bikes BB heights will be within 1.5" of each others at the most extreme. How much will .5" BB drop change, effect a reach measurement? Reach is the first thing I look at to...

^^^ Looks awesome, great way to get back into it. Sweet build.
I've never heard of it before, although I am having similar issues with a used 11 speed I bought. Mine just jumps in some gears. I'm going to open it and flush it out. I'm guessing there's some...
90% of reports are pretty invalid.
My Avy cart was awesome, but messing around with the virtually infinitely adjustable shim stack was a PITA. Especially without being able to get the same quality...
What is your case but? I missed the point.
Avalanche in 888 is the bench mark/yard stick fork for me. So far my new BOS Idylle RaRe is proving to be as good. Can't wait to try the DVO, new 40,...
They'll turn the piggy back around for production, I betchya.
Sorry, I was running out the door with Missus yelling at me. Tidied it up a bit now.
Yeah, that's it. Different fork to steerer angle or axle placement for 26 to 27".
So all the forkers are making 650b specific forks, is this just to assure sales,or are 26" forks that can take 27" wheels going to really feel dud in any way? What does it even counter act? Are the...
Wow.
I weighed my 888s then my RaRe but I forget sorry. Maybe 6oz:( I had Avy cart too:( I can tell you the forks feel great though.
How much did you file of the linkage? Only really needs a few...
Just needs the bat fins:rolleyes:
Good effort. Formula do a matchmaker if you wanted the one mount.
Thanks for the links. Avy cart looks much the same externally. I hadn't seen the Bos cart, but it's the shim stack and piston head I'd like to see. And inside the air spring on the air sprung...
Cheers, looks like a long read, I'll do it tomorrow. Might all be fully relevant on new Bos and especially my Vois(air). Still will be beneficial, thanks.
Yeah I'm riding that one now. I'm not sure what the shim stack looks like, how the air spring works to not low through the mid stroke, what's going on with the negative spring, how it balances etc....
Bos do a few different shock tunes as stock I think. And will do custom shim stacks if needed. I think the shim stacks are more basic than Avalanches(less shims), but still get the job done it would...
Simple, obvious humor just annoys me sorry. Nanny whatever degrading word discredits me, whatever.
Pretty sure I just have an Avvy shock in the house at present. Trying out new Bos stuff right now,...
Oh god, troll much? I didn't give it much thought, just a passing comment. There's nothing wrong with showin some gratitude and respect where it's due. IMO Craig at Avalanche doesn't deserve to be...
yeah yeah, Whatever man. If someone sends me a PRIVATE message, it's between me and them, I don't go talking about it, making me sound right and them wrong on a forum. Carry on. oil spills and giggle...
It's a private message you got, keep it private, don't slander someone with it publicly.
Is axle to crown height worth considering? as both will be great forks.
I'm not sure how good the Bos seals are. I'm guessing/hoping pretty good based on reports, but reports don't amount to as much as personal experience. As you yourself have a quite conflicting opinion...
Boxxer would be lighter but need more regular servicing. Boxxer will have more infinite tuning be more of a hassle to tune.
Both awesome forks.
Got some pics?
Nah, just bed in, and mucked about on. Will try do some DH tomorrow on them.

17.75kg as pictured.
I agree on a well lubricated fork.
Probably on a poorly serviced, dried out 40 or Boxxer I think. Doubt it on any freshly serviced fork. Not saying there's no difference, just saying it's...
