NSS! But at the end of the day, who gives a flying feck what they call it? The cool new thing that all the bike companies are racing to design new stuff for (I admit most are just re-labelling) is...
There are two bits of advice in this thread that are worth remembering. Keep studying, and work for someone else.
Studying small business management is a great idea, shortcut your way through the...
I reckon Connor Fearon was going flat out into 3rd. Woohoo! Great result for him.
I saw Walter Rohl drive in a Targa Tasmania race in a museum piece Porsche, for the first two days he kept saying...
There are real professionals in raising children, some of them may be on ridemonkey, but I think the best advice may come from elsewhere. If he is at Kindergarten/school then they should be able to...
I'm excited to see 35mm legs and 29er fork, but still meh about 15mm. However am I the only one who sees sram putting dampers in bladders as a whole world of trouble?
Simply put, the all-new...
Lucky its not an Evil - it'd buck you off!
Scales checked. And rechecked. Then I swore, and then I checked again.
Bought them after checking both claimed, and posted weights (sicklines - 335gm). Mine weighs 450gm.
I have no explanation....
Having just bought the Answer Pro Taper DH I was gobsmacked when I put it on the scales - 450gm. I'm not putting it on the bike, just saving it for when I need to club a baby seal to death.
What a cool new game - "pick the things wrong with this tyre", with woo as judge.
I go first - ramping of centre knobs opposite to orientation of cornering knobs.

OK, I'm running no spacer - and can easily machine one - haven't seen the need while I get perfect shifting.
Although, I am happy to believe that once a little wear is introduced to the system I may...
After another play, I tried moving the cable to the other side of the bolt - and shifting got worse. I have perfect shifting with the cable in the original spot.
What is apparent is how little...
I learned to wrench by scabbing from the bin behind the local bikeshop - what they threw out was frequently an upgrade for me when I was at uni. This predates internet shopping, was in the early days...
That Amazon is so close to awesome
Kinda yeah, but nah.
Think more along the lines of Goldilocks, or if thats too obscure - bolt some super monsters on the front of your trail bike.
Having spent the last 18 months on a Norco Shinobi (140mm front/120mm rear) I think you'd have to live somewhere pretty special to take advantage of this bike. The Norco is about the upper limit of...
And x9 shifter is married to zee derailleur, working fine with no spacer. I'll give it a good run before I try a spacer block at the cable mount, but at this stage it passes the work stand and...
Honestly - as much as I preffered 8 speed - the point came where I couldnt get quality chains, cassettes, shifters and I gave up.
While I can drag out 9 speed a bit longer I will, but when I cant...
Really? While I have no doubt that dopers (particuarly EPO users) put there lives at enormous risk, I cant see how the causal link can be made to cancer over the internet with one test subject....
None of that makes sense, was everybody else enjoying getting shafted - or is the rest of the band on the board of directors of the management company? (mental leap from Jello Biafra reference)
Shimano shadow plus (clutch) is from slx up in xc style mechs, cage lengths as per normal.
For the dh breeds, Zee mechs suit up to 28t cassettes (dh) or up to 36t cassettes (fr).

Quick measure in the shed, mostly SRAM stuff as thats what I have -
External width 8 speed chain - 8.0mm
9 speed chain - 7.6mm
10 speed chain - 6.9mm
Internal width 9 speed derailleur - 10.0mm...
Sram cable pull didn't change from 8 to 9 speed. Swapped between plenty of times.
I bought an ordinary operator, it was inevitable that less than a fortnight later this would pop up.
