Good write up on the Lahar on nsmb! I'm very envious of your bike! Got interested in the Lahars ever since I saw them flying silently down the hill on the Fort Bill world cup course in 2006... I went down to the pits to search them out and they were like the smallest camp in the farthest corner but I went and had a good look. Totally awesome bikes!! It's like they hit the holy grail of DH frame design almost.. I never got to ride one or buy one but I can imagine it's exactly as required for fast DH duties.

I'm a full advocate of carbon for DH frame materials. Currently I work as a Composites Technologist for the Williams F1 Team here in the UK and just wish I could use our factory facilities to make a decent carbon DH frame but company policy sadly prevents it...

I've since bought a Katipo - a decent steel, non-gearbox equivalent and I love it!

I love that these carbon Lahars just keep going without issues.

    Enjoy your bike!!
