    Super Bowl predictions?

Did I pull a OMFG n00B!1 and miss the Super Bowl prediction thread? I saw some banter, but no real picks.

    Post 'em here.

Indy 34, Bears 17. Joseph Addai for MVP.
We don't have that but we can get it for you.

What I want to happen is to see is the Bears defense stripping the ball on every down as they tackle. Bears get 5 turnovers and win by 14. After the game Manning blames everyone else on the team for losing.

Wasn't it last week? Isn't it always at the end of Jan?

I think Addai is a good pick BUT I think that this hinges on Manning. The Colts can't win if he doesn't have a great game. If he has a great game then he's the MVP.

I think the Colts will win but its going to be close. 21 - 17

Manning got 3 against Manning the last time he played them.

...From watching all the crap from media week, listening to all the interviews, and all the yapping of the talking heads, here is what I've learned:

The Colts havent lost a game all season, they're perfect:
Amazing isnt it? Although I could swear their record is 12-4. Chicago on the other hand was 13-3 this season.

Rex Grossman is the worst QB to ever play the game:
Amazing isnt it? Especially considering the Colts losses this year came against such amazing QBs as Garrard,Young,Carr and Romo, all of whom Grossman has better numbers than AND a higher win %. Oh, and Grossman's playoff QB rating is HIGHER than the great P. Manning, and he has 5 FEWER ints.

    The Bears defense is overrated:
Did you WATCH the saints game???????????

The Bears cant win if the weather isnt on their side:

Oh really? Here's some fun facts. Indianapolis this year is 4-4 on the road. Chicago 7-1. 4 of the 4 Colts losses came on NATURAL GRASS. Guess what the turf is in Miami? Grass. Colts won only ONE GAME all year on grass. Also, No domed team has EVER won an outdoor SB vs. an outdoor team.

Peyton Manning got the monkey off his back vs. the Patriots:
Yeah, whatever. The knock on Peyton is that he cant win "The Big Game" Well folks, this is the big game. Let's just see what happens.

Im not saying that the Bears are a lock to win this game, but if you listened to the media, the Bears are just a terrible team and are worse than both Seattle and New Orleans according to them. I hope Chicago shoves it down their throats.

I think this will be a great game. These are the two teams that belong there this year and they both have strengths and weaknesses. I'd be happy to see either team win because they both deserve it. But I just have a feeling the Colts will take it and Manning will get MVP.
We do what we must because we can.

He celebrated by calling an arab with a laptop a "****ing Jew" in a Denny's @ the UCLA campus at 3 am in the morning and then proceeded to physically assault him.

...but he is a good nickelback.

Have you been listening/watching the Colts' version of Fox News? I have no rooting interest in this game. Most analysts I've heard can't believe the spread is 7.5 points. They think it'll be closer.

I picked the 34-17 score because I don't think the Bears offense will get it done. I don't think they'll be on the field taht long, and the Bears defense, as good as it is, won't be able to contain the Colts offense. Give that offense enough time, and they're going to put up points.
We don't have that but we can get it for you.

I've been trying to avoid it but the press, especially ESPN is doing whatever they can to sensationalize anything they possibly can. They even say that they are looking for the good 'story'. I don't watch football because I want to hear the players talk or find out what they do off field. ESPN has turned into the E! network, I want to hear about X's and O's.

Should be a good game, like most superbowls I think the winner will be whatever team doesn't let the hype get into theirs heads and just plays a normal game.

What I've noticed is that many of the former players are actually picking chicago to win, whereas the regular show hosts are all picking the colts.
    I dunno.

    Here's something else.
    Bears have Devin Hester
Colts have 30th ranked kickoff return defense
    31st ranked punt return defense.

I still believe that Peyton can't finish a season. In all his years as a pro, and with the vaunted and talented offense that he controls, he still can't seem to finish a season. I think that the Bears will decimate the Colts offense, and the Colts defense will be unable to stop the Bears offense. The Bears have been really good at taking the ball away from their opponents this year, and I think that trend is going to continue. Manning will still be able to put points on the board, but I don't think that he will be able to put up enough to win.

If Grossman has a good game, it should be a blowout. If he has a so-so game, then the score will be close, and may come down to a Vinitieri field goal, but I doubt it.
