Drunk doctor kills skateboarder, found not guilty
And he was speeding and texting, estimated .15-20 BAC, and he fled the accident scene and covering up the car damage: Verdict misdemeanor DUI.
But in the end, a day and a half of listening to the 56-year-old Getzville doctor testify in Erie County Court helped sway a jury Wednesday that Alexandria "Alix" Rice was killed in a terrible but understandable accident.
Jurors acquitted Corasanti on all felony charges related to the death of the 18-year-old longboard skater last July in Amherst. Rice was on her way home from her job at a Hopkins Road pizzeria when Corasanti's car struck and killed her at about 11:20 p.m. July 8 on Heim Road.

Apparently skateboarders are in the same group as cyclists.
Besides, don't think of Corasanti as a drunk murderer, think of him as helpfully reducing the employment rate among America's youth. After all, there's a job that opened up at the pizza place, amirite?

I need to start a new website that collects money like Kickstarter, but the money is used to have assholes like this killed. And maybe have the jury caned if funds are sufficient.
Why are you getting all defensive, Hitler?

When they are riding on the shoulder commuting home from work, I don't see much of a difference.

Apparently this guy doesn't see them at all
I still don't understand how the "I didn't know" excuse works. I'm absolutely sure that if I ever hit anything big enough to damage my car I would pull over and see WTF is going on.

Maybe you won't need those contributions for justice to be doled out?

This is also why I'm lit up like a F'ing Christmas tree when I'm on the roads at night. So hopefully when some drunk asshole takes me out he'll have one less excuse to cry about in front of the jury...

Pretty much. Not a car, no fvucks given.
You know, in Florida, I can should be able to technically shoot anyone with a driver's license. Just standing my ground...

I've done a TT there once.
But it has been a while.
And what pizzeria in Buffalo is not connected to a crime organization? My favorite is La Nova.
But I would to see this doctor slaughter, SOA style.

He only got a misdemeanor because the judge didn't want him to lose his license to practice medicine. That is how it usually works. Don't want to ruin someones professional life after ruining a kids and families life.
Gotta love the judicial system!!!

All the judge gets to do is determine the length of probation/jail time.

My one customer's accountant lives at the entrance to his subdivision, around the corner from my Aunt. It's been bat-****-retarded lately around here. He threw an acquitted/memorial weekend party at his house because someone I know lives on his street drove by. In 6 months everyone will forget, and it will be life as usual.
