    Thomson DH Handlebars....in my grubby, grubby little hands!

    Yup. Just came this morning in what can only be described as a massive box.

    I have no excessive descriptors or raves. It's simple, clean and...mine!

    Rock on! Everybody...do this ----->

    780mm wide
    12mm of rise
    6° of backsweep
    4° of upsweep

    Manufacturing details: http://bikethomson.com/thomsonhandlebars/downhill/

    What's exciting about these? Made in Asia, like every other bar, and unlike most of the rest of the Thomson stuff.

    Don't be so quick. They may have done some serious research and these may be the fastest bars out there.

    What's the reasoning behind only 6° backsweep? I thought 9° had pretty much become the defacto standard.

    Are you sure about that? I thought the carbon bars were the only ones made in Asia (for now).

    Hey jerry, go stuff your wheel into the ground on a little roll over and see how many ribs they break.

    I updated my first post with a few pics to give a view of it mounted, sweep and all. 780mm or 30.7". The Boobar I had started out at the same length and I cut it down to 279.75". Laid both in the floor to give an impression of the variation between the two.

    Not really a legit comparison. They both need to be bolted on to see b/c in the pic of both the Thomson bar needs to be rotated back some to be at the same angle. Make sense? Bar is definitely lighter than the Boobar, but the Boobar never was. Heck it's heavier cut down tha the Thomson uncut.

    Again, not bragging. Just thought I'd post pics so people might could get a better idea of the bar than on the site.
