Pike replacement
What would be a good replacement for my old Pike? I can’t seem to find anything that adjusts travel from 95 to 140 that is strong and won’t break the bank. My old Pike still works great but has seen numerous drops and thrashings over the last 5 years so I don’t want to take the chance of trashing myself.

Mmm I'm in the same boat.
I was looking at the 44s rc3 ti? Looks like a good fork. Coil sprung. Maybe worth a look?

The 44 looks pretty good, and I could push the Pike but am concerned with catastrophic failure of the fork. I use the Pike on a hardtail so I like the ability to go down to 95 for dj's and back up for everything else.....I want it all damit!

revelations are nice. if you really beat on your fork or are a bigger guy go to a lyrik or fox 36 something.
I run a revelation XX on the do everything bike but wish for a bit more fork sometimes. I'd probably go lyrik next time around.
I have a pike on the DJ bike and it has been a phenomenal fork, was at 140 on a trail bike that got straight up abused for years and now gets nosecased at 100mm and 200psi, lol. great fork.

not sure if it still holds true, but the pike and revelation are/were the same fork. only difference was the pike was a 20mm axle. pike was discontinued when they introduced the 20mm revelation. (2009/10 maybe?). I put a set of pike lowers on an '08 revelation and have had 0 issues with it.

My thought too. I'm interested in the Slant fork myself for my next bike.

I was eyeballing this little gem for something similiar:

Apparently same chassis as a revelation, but available with dual position coil. Lots of travel options, I was considering mating my revelation damper to this fork. Looks to be very close to a pike with the exception that it's two postion coil vs u-turn coil. sounds like tapered and 20mm are options on this guy too.

Here's this for more reading:

Speaking of a sektor, I picked up a RL 201112 version, with 20mm. Looking forward to how it rides.

If you'd like another pike, here's a NOS 409 for cheap:

This makes me happy that I kept my mint 454 instead of selling it.
That said, I have nothing to put it on, so...
