New Jersey 29er?
Should I get a Niner Fully? I live in jersey and I ride a Spesh Epic. I hate that bike. It absolutely sucks.
I ride downhill so I like to throw my bike around. I think I would be giving up bike control with a 29er. What are everyone's thoughts?

Beside this bike looks sweeeet!

Try and demo one - if it fits the bill and you can afford it, buy it and ride it.

For Jersey, clearly you need one of these: http://www.vandesselsports.com/?page_id=35
So what is it you don't like about the Specialized, and which Niner are you looking at? The Jet 9 that you linked is not the Niner frame I'd choose for DH-focused riding.

I race xc, so it can't be dh focused. I actually ride my epic like a dh bike... tee hee.
What I hate about the epic is... the ****ty brain technology, the weight (really heavy frame), and the flex. It not only looks flexy, but is super flexy as well.
I just like that jet 9 for the super low top tube, head angle, and suspension design. Lets not be shallow now, but I also like light frames and its sleek look. Ohhh, and that flat black, wow!

I live in NNJ and I'm loving my new RIP 9, so I bet the Jet 9 would be just what you're looking for. I dh a lot and feel like the 29er handles similar to my Morewood ( more body english to turn, but nimble as can be). Definitely way more comfortable/better fit/ride than a 26er if you're taller than average. I ride both and have for years, but the 29er is way better for our trails in my opinion.

Hmm. I rode a 29er hardtail that was way too big for me. I am a short guy. It was really fast and it climbed like a champ, but I like to schralp gnar with my 26 better.

You need a 29er built by somebody FROM New Jersey
(And is moving back there, soon.)

Well, they'll still be thousands of miles fresher than the West-Coast and Asian options
Mainly, I just have a burning desire to shovel more snow...
