MAAXX Events East-Canada

*Once again, Maaxx Events will be delivering numerous events this summer through the entire Canadian East Coast. All DH events are sanctioned by the UCI, which means no excuse not to register.*

*Quebec Cup #2. June 7th - 9th*
Location: Owl’s Head, QC
The first stop of the Maaxx Tour will be held next weekend at Owl’s Head, QC for the second round of the Quebec Cup. This venue was added last year to the calendar and the track was made entirely by DH racers. You should definitely go have a look at Owl’s Head since they are now open to the public on select weekends. They are located near the Mansonville village, fifteen minutes from the US Border leading to Jay Peak Resort.

*Adrenaline Mountain Bike Festival – Quebec Cup #3. June 28th- 30th*
Location: Sugarloaf Bike Park, NB
This festival is becoming a fixture in the Canadian Eastern mountain bike scene. For the fifth edition of the event, Maaxx Events has planned a series of original and spectacular events. To spice things up, we have added for 2013 a round of the Quebec Cup. With an Air-Downhill, a Slopestyle contest, a Pumptrack contest and a pond-crossing time-trial event, there is definitely something for everyone.

*Quebec Cup #4-5. July 26th - 28th*
Location: Camp Fortune, QC
Right next to Ottawa, the city of Chelsea will host the round 4 and 5 of the Quebec Cup. This venue has been on the calendar for the last 10 years and every year, there seems to be this friendly-rivalry between Quebecors and Ontarians when it is time to guess whom the winner will be.

*Quebec Championships/Quebec Cup #8. August 31st - September 1st *
Location: TBA
The most prestigious race on the Quebec Cup calendar will be held on the weekend of … This is where the Quebec Champion will be crowned. More info coming soon.

*B-MAAXX Cup June 15th, July 20th, Sept 21st*
Location: SkiBromont
With its huge success in 2012, this new circuit has become the gateway to the downhill race for many young fans, thanks to its friendly and relaxed atmosphere. For 2013, the three rounds of the circuit will be held at SkiBromont. Courses are short, on intermediate level trails, to help people get comfortable on their first race experience. Of course, the pros are also welcome to race in their respective category.

The racing season has just started and is looking strong. We hope to see you at our events!

Alright guys after my last ride in Dogtown, I was thinking of picking up a new set of rubber for the mountain bike. I have been using Maxxis for a while (High Roller, Minion, Larsen, Holy Roller) and I hate Schwabies. What do you guys think are the best NE tires for the trails on the north shore MA specifically, or NE in general. Also should say I usually run 2.35 front and rear.
