yeah it just seems too good to be true? I mean he could be a bike shop employee, or someone who gets stuff cheap somehow, but it could also be someone who stole it.?

Well that's just it, I'm buying it from another monkey who lives down in Cali. So If I bought it it would be sight unseen... I really like that bike though, and for $1200 less + the saving of tax, it seems like quiet the deal.

your dirtbag? ill give you 4 chewy chips ahoy cookies.... oh wait better make that three (better respond quick they are going like hotcakes) heh.. anyway.. i rode a demo 9 it was crazy how i didnt even have to worry abot curbs... heh... only downfall i saw was that it looked likea motorcycle with no motor... although what else can i say... other then "i'd hit it!!!"
If you feel its too good to be true, make sure you ask alot of questions, and maybe insist on using something like www.escrow.com . Your much more protected that way. If they wont participate with it, then maybe there is a scam of sorts.... then again, maybe not. But its better to be covered for a small fee than to get scammed.

He's a monkey,
I've sent lots of emails back and forth, seems legit after all the communicating we've done. Besides, he's a verified paypal member so if I buy the insurance I'm covered by paypal.
If you feel comfortable go for it. Ive seen people ask for verification about a RM user. He could be a scammer lurking, or a legit seller. All else fails insist on escrow.

dont hate me for sayin this, but 4 employees at the shop i work for bought and rode demo 9's. all 4 broke. and we're not talking crazy riders by any means.

Meh. They don't break. They may develop 2 small cracks at the rear shock eye due to some machining problems. Warranty is there and the problem has been rectified.
and Universe goes big, if he hasnt broke his...it aint gonna break :D hypothetically speaking of course!
maybe he meant to say the 4 riders are all broke after buying them........
Just do COD and no worries.
That is unless he some how scams the UPS guy with a bad money order or something.,

True, but isnt this guy wanting to BUY a demo 9...so the shipper would have to be the scammer...maybe load up the bike box with bricks :sneaky: lol
Sucks how everything is a scam, like you said, if I shipped a bike to someone COD and he gave the driver a phoney Money order or cahiers check. :dead:
i think this whole thread is a scam to make me do somthing i dont want too :D j/k

Well I paid through Paypal, we are both verified members so if things go wrong then I guess I have that to work with. He seems legit, I looked up some of his posts and it seems like he sells other stuff. He's got over 365 posts on here and his ebay ID has 37 good feedbacks, no bad one's so I feel somewhat confident it's a legit deal. I'll let you know next week when the bike is suppose to arrive.

You will love it. It is the best bike I've ridden hands down. I plan on owning it for years to come.

I see your running a Monster T, what year? How would you compare the Monster T to say a shiver or dorado? I'm going to sell my 888rr and pick up an 05 shiver or monster t depending...
Universe

2002 Monster. Best monster of the bunch imo. Monster is stiffer and heavier than a shiver/dorado. Weight is the only issue people have with these. They feel just awesome. Great for heavier guys.

Yeah see that's why I'm thinking I need a monster T. Had a dorado, super t, slider, and tried my friends shiver, but i like my friends monster the best, rather heavy though, interested to see how the new fox is?

that was going for me?
Yannis, Ill say again, in your situation i think the specialized bikes are a good deal for you. Being in the UK i'd stray from some of the canadain brands youve asked me about. The nic might be decent since there german, and seem to be the same price as the demos......
