how does one go about adjusting a 20mm hub? definitely not the typical cone wrench setup that i'm used to. i used the handy-dandy search bar up top but came up dry.
any pointers?

depends on the hub. Some dont need any adjustment since the fork axle sits directly on the cart bearings.

hm. not sure what kind of hub it is... pix & info when i get home.

I am under the impression that almost all use cartridge bearings, so when the bearings need attention, you just knock out the old ones and press in new ones, no adjustment needed/possible. How true is this?
My experience with 20mm hubs (2 marzocchi, and 1 profile) has been to just replace the bearings when they get sloppy. Any LBS can order them from BTI or Quality, or you can save some $$ by checking out a bearing shop. I think Mavic and King , and maybe hadley? ....have some sort of adjustment, but then i would have thought the netsperts would have said that already....

the higher quality ones will have a built-in axle that run on the carts in order to seal the inside of the hub (like non-shimano rear hubs). Probably 99% of front 20mm hubs that arent Saint will have cart bearings regardless of the setup.
