what's the point of a political rally?

went & saw W yesterday morning at fiddler's green in denver, and had absolutely no expectations....which is a good thing. There was no red meat and perhaps no identifiable purpose to his visit. He was only in town for 14 hrs (saw AF1 land biking home from work day prior), so he didn't even have time to pass the plate.

don't give me that "to energize the base" crap -- who's going to be energized after getting up at 4 am to make the 6 am secret service entrance requirement?

Yah what a bummer, but it really pays to go, just in case, because you never know if he would have spontaneously broke into dance with secret service agents and sang "Hello Ma Baby, The Michigan Rag". Then it would totally have been worth it.

Landed at peterson, even though the news said buckley. What's 60 miles between friends?Isn't CO a 'barely Kerry' state?not any more. Dems haven't won since 92 & it's not looking good now.
