I have done this race three times. It is at Lake Placid Olympic Center, the trail loop is excellent, usually 10-11 miles, not too technical. It is very well run, they have a kitchen you can use any time, and they bring in complementary bagels and cream cheese every few hours.

Last year our Danbury CT-based team came in 2nd in our age group behind the Green Mt Boys. My teamies were Ross and Jay who won the two man team at Dalton this year, and my training partner Mike (early morning hilly 25 mile road rides before work). Ross is also my spinning instructor at the gym in the winter.

I'm not signed up for a team right now, but if someone is looking for an extra teamie, I would consider. Age 46, only medium speed but consistent with a well-prepped bike.

Any questions about the race, let me know.
