I'm not sure how much time I can get off from work so I'll probably be there Friday night thru Sun night. You can all cheer me on at the finish line Sun night. My race starts at 1:40 and it should take me around three hours. So, look for me around 4:40 (hopefully) at the finishline!:p

I think that place sounds fine....I also race on Sunday, but heck it's only DH....I'm going to Sea Otter to have fun, not to break the course record...

Friday night or Sat. Night?

All the am. monkeys race on sat., the pro monkey(s) race on sunday morning, as do the xcers.

Maybe around 7:30ish on Friday at that place Luc said so that monkey racers can get back in time? Me, I'm only taking monkey pictures and telling 15 year olds the benefits of riding a planet x. Hehhehe.

Oh, and I am going to be picking on Brant CONSTANTLY.

Nevertheless, I would love to put a face to monkey name.

I was between DH bikes at the time (or more precisley, waiting for EDCO to return my hub so I could get the Str-8 running)
I was prolly Buddha_bombing at the time.

yes we can reserve it, she didn't say anythign about a deposit, but she did say that for groups over 40, we would need to order from a banquet menu rather than the regular menu. she said they could fax a copy of the menu out if we wanted to look it over.

Umm okay, latest update.

there is a $100 deposit, they need to mail us out a confirmation letter with a copy of the banquet menu, we need to choose a minimum of 3 items from that menu, then, as the time approaches, we need to call them and let them know an approximate number of each item (of the 3) that will be ordered so that they can be prepared.

Hmm...

what does everyone think... should we just show up and suprise them?:D

I think we should just show up. I mean, that's gonna be some work, getting $$$, getting reservations, picking a menu. And, what about people that have selective diets? Agh! Too many variables.
Maybe we should get a head count?
Who for sure, definitely, without a doubt will show up for a monkey meeting?
Also, should we change it to Fri? Both Yeti & Heidi wouldn't be able to show if we do it on Thurs. Us Mudhunnies gotta stick together!!

I just got the PM... and meeting at my campsite is fine with me...
It would be cool to meet all the monkeys and stuff.

The flag idea is a good one... and just whoever wants to stop by, do so, but why don't we say after the jumping contest...

about parking... the overflow camping is right near the mountain cross course, so just park where you would park for the day, and ride/walk over.

BB i'll put you in charge of the flag.

There aren't fixed spots for the overflow camping, so no definate location.

It will be cool to meet all the other monkeys.

does this sound good for everyone???
