my boss is courting a guy to come work here. He's showing the guy around the shop and treating him like a big wig. The position is running copiers and building books paying ~$9/hr! The guy's a bus-boy or something at the restaurant down the street, but very professional and all that.

We've run an ad in the paper twice and can't find anyone qualified, so I guess things are improving.

yes yes, quite a specific situation, but I'm still extrapolating it to the big picture, so :blah:

Political forum worthy?

Slow day in the news I guess.

Time to debate if a busboy can handle making copies...

Have you done a background check on him?
I'd call the dept. of homeland security myself. I mean, a photocopier is a powerful device. How do you know he can be trusted to use it for good and not EVIL?

The moment your back is turned, he might be photocopying dangerous documents filled with nasty lies about people in power! Or maybe he's an identity thief?

After running copiers for a few years when I was younger, I find it funny that you are having a hard time finding someone qualified. These guys have a pulse right?

qualified means good attitude, reliable, reasonably intelligent, can follow directions. This operation is way more complicated than just making a few copies, so we need someone a little smarter than N8.
