I need info on the arcata area, anything would be nice. shops, rides, parks, anything really.

Alright. 3 good shops...Revolution, Adventure's Edge and the Pro Sports Center. Community forest has some decent riding if you keep your eyes peeled. If you're into DJ, you'll love it. Trail riding...McKinleyville and Jacoby creek are both worthy. Tish Tang is a great ride, but a 45 min. drive. There is a small skate park on Sunset that definately wasn't designed with bikes in mind but can be fun to ride.

go to the local Specialized dealer (don't know the name?) and ask for Rowan, he's a friend of mine who lives up there (Expert DH racer) He rides a Demo9. He could probably show you some local stuff...

The specialized store is called Adventure's Edge. It's on 10th & G street. Rowan 's a good guy, he'll help you out.
