For those who have shipped a DH bike before, did you use one box or two?

I know my LBS has some really long boxes that would fit everything, but would it be more expensive than splitting it into two boxes? Also, if I shipped it in one big box I'm a little worried about the parts not really being secured.

I was thinking one box for the frame, fork and stuff that can still be left attached to the frame, and another for wheels and other small parts.

How do/did you guys ship your bikes?

We always ship DH bikes in two boxes. One box for the frame and nearly all the parts, and another box for the fork (the crowns usually stay on the frame to keep the headtube from getting damaged) and wheels.

I usually ship it in one box...you just have to make sure you pack everything carefully...if you're not sure have the LBS do it....D

...who's paying for the shipping. Just keep in mind of the dimensional weight policies.
