I looked on the saint homepage for a manual to no avail. But is there any online that you guys know of?? How do you tighten them?

Gotta think of Saint cranks/XTR/XT with their new bottom bracket design like a threadless headset.

Once the drive side arm is in all the way, you place the other arm on but lightly, and there's a end-cap which requires a special tool to tighten. You tighten that end cap down to give it bearing preload etc..., then you tighten the pinch bolts on the crank and your done. IF you tighten the crank before that end-cap it might be loose no matter how much you futz with it.

I saw/read a review in MTB action a few months ago about this. Very Very simple to do with the right tools. I guess Shimano's stuff is suspose to come with the BB cup tool and the End-cap tool to tighten it down.

Good luck, shouldn't be too hard!

Spunger is right. Assuming the Saint design is the same as XT/DA, all you need to tighten the cranks is a 5mm socket and the plastic tool to give the bearings preload. A torque wrench is a good idea as always.
