2003 Dj would be rad or you could get a 2004 Z1.

The 2003 DJ's were pretty much tanks too.
Maybe consider a Sherman? I don't think there's a stronger or stiffer chassis on the market. You can get it in both SPV and TPC+ depending on which you'd like.

yea i might just put heavier springs and stuff in it and see how it is then if i dont like it im gonna get rid of it . it seems like i dont have any preload with it.. the 03 dj2 is like 5lbs and the 04 are like 8 or somthing crazy

Uh. No, they definitly did not add 3 pounds to the DJ's weight. I believe there is a double crown DJ fork that might weigh 8 pounds, but even that I doubt.
04 DJ IIIs are 7 lbs, the IIs are a little lighter I believe. Wait unti 05 for the 88 ;)

Marzocchi lists the weight of the '04 DJ3 as 2631g (5.8lbs) without the steel steerer. They say the DJ1/2 are within 20g when weighed with the 20mm thru axles.
I doubt the steerers are over 2lbs, so let's not get carried away and call these 8lb forks.
None-the-less, 6+ lbs is not light. People I know say the Sherman Flick feels heavy at 5.2 - 5.5 lbs., depending on who's weighing it.

'03 dj3 with steer is about 6.5lbs give or take spring/oil/steer length
