Vanilla RC or Stratos Helix Expert rear shock?

Of these two shocks which would you use and why?

I personally have never had a problem with them. They are functional, cheap, light and are getting better every year.


Stratos is the only shock I've ever had explode (literally in pieces) as my bike was leaning up against a tree while I was reading a map. This was after a climb not a descent. The scaruiest part was a tech at a norba race wasn't in the least bit suprised.
