Remember Lake Fairfax BMX track?

I was just thinking the other day when I first move to the united states we used to go to lake fairfax and there was a bmx track there. i had a POS red huffy like bike that had a wrap around stem with one bolt to pinch it tight.....that is where i caught my first taste of eating dirt on a bike....

are there any other BMX tracks open today in the area? anyone know when they took that one down?

There is one in Winchester, Va., thats open year round. It's in Jim Barnnet Park. It's about an hour from Fairfax.

There used to be a bmx track there?? i "got into" mountain biking on the lake fairfax xc trail. Everyday after school i would ride to reston and back. :)

Even before that, there used to be one right next to Woodson High School at the Starlit Ponds rec center. Anyone even remember that? The place has since been torn down and I think there's a church there now. I could never convince my parents to take me there, though :angry:

There is one in woodbridge and it is top knotch! National level!

Opens in April sometime I think and it cost 2.50 to ride all day.
